There are great mathematicians, and there are great physicists, there was and will always be a conflict between the two. With math you can prove anything and everything but your physics should support it, only then will it make sense to the common man.
One of the worlds greatest physicists had this to say----
"I dot believe in mathematics"
and this was said by none other than Albert Einstein.
But for me mathematics is the most original and greatest creation of human spirit :)
