Happy B'day

Force
Brutal

He is the one guy I have to listen to

Hilarious
Lazy

Stay for an hour with him and he would have worked you overtime without any remorse, infact you wont realize that you are actually doing his work!! . Spontaneity and timing an inbuilt virtue, his comic timing is second to none.

Husband
Lover

A relatively new role, but he earns an easy A+. Ask his wife she knows what it means to be pampered.

Fighter
Smart

Back then I was young and short I could not reach the stove, and so he made Maggi for me. But then it came at a cost I had to give him some of my maggi else he would not cook. He knows your weak points, he is smart and he will hit you where it hurts you the most don't ever mess with him.

Owner
Manager

A BMW owner, a manger who knows HOW to get things done.

Bold
Fearless

Have you met a guy who walks out of a job in the morning and gets a better job the same day at noon??

Eater
Cook

Ask mom she will tell you tales about his BHEL, my god trust me its finger licking good

Starbucks
Coffee Lover

The only guy who drinks coffee so that he can chat for longer hours on his laptop.

Optimist
Planner

Man with the plan.

Family

Ask Dad he will tell you how proud he feels to have a son like him.

Many faces, one man.

Some people just do not fail. They never experience failure 'cos they know what it takes to WIN and win BIG.

Happy Bday anna, brother,friend, mitu.

Tag---x---- Made

Thanks Swati for wasting 10 min of my already wasted life :):D:)

These are the rules:

1. Link the person(s) who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules on your blog.
3. Answer all the questions asked below!
4. Tag 5 bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.

Before I start I'm going to break rule 4 + 5 :)

8 things I am most passionate about:
1.
Music I can't work without music, study without music is a joke. I would have failed all my courses if youtube crashed :)

2 Math If you are weak in Math you are generally weak in everything else- thats what my prof used to say in school. It has always given me strength I can be lost Multivariate Calculus or Non Linear equations forever. I just love it!!

3.
Friends I just love all my friends, I think I spend more time with my friends than with my family. I don't know if I can describe myself completely without them being mentioned.

4.
Family A dad who inspired me to work hard (can never efficiently work like him), a mom who gave her everything to turn two naughty mischievous kids into successful gentlemen-her lemon mango rice can inspire me to do anything..i mean anything, a bro who taught me to pray..he gives me confidence and I look up to him for help whenever (which is everyday :)) I fall into troubles. Lastly my cute Bhabi, finally one family member who can beat me in my own game (she is extremely smart-should I say text book smart ;))

5.
Movies Can watch a movie which has 1/2 a star rating on a ten star scale without any regrets. Can never get enough out of movies. In engineering I made 9 guys miss their internals (college internal exam) to see a movie

6.
My crazy Ideas I once showed a friend of mine how the roads have evolved, evolved mathematically. Evolution happens for a mathematical cause, everything in my world is better described in equations.

7. My
Research If you are not in research you have missed out a lot in life..trust me!!.

8.
Teaching This has not yet happened, but I will someday give back all the things I've learnt and help students who find engineering to be difficult. I will !!!

8 things I wanna do before I die:

1. See a Manchester United match in Old Trafford.

2.
Get lost in Ireland of course with a 12 pack Guiness :). Ideally this would be my honeymoon location

3. Teach Math and help at least a poor student get his basic schooling and college.

4. See a center court Wimbledon match.
s
5.
Go to red rocks/lollapalooza for a concert

6.
Persuade my band to take practice secessions more seriously, I'm sure that we will unite back for some music :)

7.Amsterdam trip all alone

8. Give a RADO pair to Mom/Dad

8 things I say often:

1.
Yappa

2.
Shut up!! (I have my own may of saying it-or thats what they say )

3. Loafer

4. Akkans :)

5.
Like DUH!!

6. Macha

7.
Mathematically..this and that

8. I hope you die..hahaha

8 books I last read:

1.Direct Methanol Fuel Cells- A Novel Approach, its implications on portable electronics- Nikesh Dhar- my thesis

2. Earth: The Sequel

3. History of God

4. Fluid Mechanics- Piyush Kundu Ira Cohen

5. Principles of Ideal Aerodynamics- Karamchetti (Love this book)

6. Advanced Mathematical Methods for Scientists and
Engineers- Asymptotic Methods and Perturbation Theory- Bender

7. Accelerated Life Testing -Wayne Nelson

2. Fade to black- the first song we played on stage as a band

3. Comfortably Numb- Floyd

4.Yellow- Coldplay

5. Through her eyes- Dream Theater

6. Ever the same- Rob Thomas

7. Under The Bridge- RHCP

8. Shimmer-Fuel

I now tag Mr Vinay and if you are a girl and if you think you are hot you are tagged as well :)

Muffle-d

Two of my favorite sport events have come to an end.

The 137th Open Championship -Winner P Harrington IRE

and

the 95th tour de France 2008- Winner Sastre Carlor Team CSC Saxo Bank ESP

I usually don' t miss these events, I get them recorded and later see them or if fortunate I see it Live.

But something was a miss in both the events this time.

The Open Championship had no Tiger Woods, atleast it was good to see a brief comeback from Greg Norman, one of my favorite players recognized more for his character than his prowess.

But the biggest disappointment was the tour de France, it was a bore at least for me;even the Stage 17 Aple-d Huez I did not enjoy, mostly because it had my inspirational hero Lance Armstrong missing .

But then...

In Ma's words, we all soon realize that no matter who is missing the show has to go on.

...To See About A Girl :)

Every time I see GWH I learn more about myself.

The movie has many brilliant parts and scenes, this is one- many of us can relate to

Skylar: Well, what aren't you scared of? You live in this safe little world where no one challenges you and you're scared shitless to do anything else but defend yourself because that would mean you'd hafta' change.

Will: Oh no. Don't, don't, don't tell me about my world. Don't tell me about my world! ....

Skylar: Why are you saying this? What is your obsession with this money?.....

Will: I'm afraid? What am I afraid of? What the fuck am I afraid of?

Skylar: You're afraid of me! You're afraid that I won't love you back! You know what I'm afraid too!!..Fuck it, I wanna give it a shot! At least I'm honest with you.

Ah!!

I just realized that Life does not follow 'Principles of least Action'

Life's not always what it seems

Life is like taking a walk on the high wire (circus act), to avoid falling you just have to keep walking.

Caught in DIA

My friend was not allowed to get through airport security in Denver. Why??

She had a 8 Fl OZ sunscreen lotion in her carry on baggage and a perfume she bought in Denver. And also went through additional security screening!!

I just could not resist laughing after she recited the entire story.

Why are humans so stupid?

Is this our best answer to-war on terrorism??

Its amazing what one can do with sunscreens and Perfumes isn't it.

When you are the clever one its amazing how everyone around you seem super stupid.

At least this should mitigate and help you forget what happened with you :)

PS: Btw DMB playing in Denver next weekend, you just missed hahahaha!!

Useless Fact #5

Give me a pen and a calculus book, you will never see me talk. I will be lost.

Today after almost weeks (the thought of course occurred much earlier) of dedicated fight, I got the number I wanted.

If our earth gets compressed to a large extent, to a radius of approximately 0.0083 meters and if all its mass gets accumulated within this radius; then nothing can escape earths gravity, yes not even light.

The proof is due to a singularity that I got-the spacetime curvature is in fact infinity!!

Its interesting because if at all such a thing occurred; then if I understand spacetime correctly, we will fail to differentiate space and time as two distinct entities!!! Just like black holes!!

Thats a Scary thought to visualize :)

Mother Russia

Why is it fun to work with Russians??

a) They have tons and tons of jokes on their moms and also your mom if you take it in the right spirit.

b) N-After checking twice I approach Valdamir (changed name of course- also if I may add he's a double Phd and tech head for my RF group). I think we can get a better fit and more accurate results if we use this distribution with this as our new CF limits etc etc, V-you are a rookie and you are correcting a man who has served for almost 10 yrs. Bring it here..N- grr (hesitating) well I might be wrong V- You know what this looks impressive let me double check it!! Mutters in Russian ok seems good. Jokes a bit. ok you learn very fast; opens his drawer ..go ahead take a sip of this aged Vodka...N- 10 MIN later well you can appreciate vodka only if you have good fat tire . Yes lets call it a day and have some well deserved early beer. V- sounds like a plan!!

V-Joking on girls, you know my ex wife that !@#** blah blah..whats with you young gun??

N-I always say this Valdamir, this is real man ' Love makes the world go around. booze makes it go around twice as fast'.

V- Your humour is something useful for this company

N-hahaha..I wont complain if I get paid for telling joke a day everyday!!
------
I love mother Russia

What do I care?

What does 'I care' mean??
Does it mean call her, every day?
Does it mean call her, every week?..Call her every fortnight-monthly??
SMS-ing her frequently
Hold her, make her rest on your shoulders??
All this is just pretentious, facetious ...etc
For me caring about someone has a whole different meaning.
Its actually making the person feel that you are there for her no matter what the situation is. Its actually making the person feel secure, make her feel she can conquer her deepest fears, make her strong, confident.

Yes, I'm me and I'm different, I cant be like that ordinary ass!@**

KA-05-P-9205

Yes thats my Accent car, I have tons and tons of memories with that car.

Last week, all week I was revisiting all the good and bad memories I had with my car. Dad told me he sold the car after it had some major problem that could not be corrected. I was really low. My car has done everything, trips to Goa, countless trips to Barista, dropped people to airports took me and D2 to college religiously everyday, transported band drum kit time and time again, moved guitars from meetus to duis house and back to my house, has taken so many couples to their dates, drives, concerts,pubs,clubs...just like some people no matter how much you hurt them they never abuse/hurt you back same holds with my car no matter how many accidents it witnessed it never failed and let me down.

I will miss my car!!

:) Smile

Cant wait to watch this flick. Feels heartwarming just looking at the trailer, I love movies that take you on an emotional coaster ride but has a happy ending.

Sample Lyrics of the song that plays in the background.

I never thought that I had any more to give
Pushing me so far here I am without you
Drink to all that we have lost, mistakes that we have made
Everything will change, love remains the same

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What matters is-
Is she happy??
With or without you.....after all; all you ever wanted is her to keep smiling...yup.

Rain in Spain

June 22 does it ring a bell??
Its one day you want to cancel in your calendar and blackberry's if you are a Spain football supporter. They have lost three big I mean really big matches on Jun 22 , and to add salt to injury they lost matches on penalty shoot outs. To Belgium in 1986 World Cup, to England in Euro 1996 (of all the teams the last team you want to lose on penalties is England :)) then to hosts S.Korea in World Cup 2002.

So with odds heavily bet against them it was one setup I dint wanna miss, in fact postponed all my shopping and snowboarding with colleagues to next weekend to witness this perfectly set match between Italy (the world champions) and Spain.

When the match started, it seemed that Italy were playing 0-0 draw from the word go, and then hope for the best keeper Buffon to save them . But you have to give credit to the Italians for their man to man marking, flawless they have more than perfected this technique. The Spain on the other hand looked more determined and wanted to wrap the game in 90 min or in extra time. They enjoyed ball possession for over 65%, they looked likely winners.

The June 22 jinx would continue for Spain as they missed very close goals and atleast two penalty decisions going against them. Spain's brave moves and attacks just could not break the seal and the match headed into penalties. And finally Gladiators silenced their critics by winning the match.

Sport is a great teacher, countless lessons can be learnt from a single match. There is nothing like a bad day, I have so many friends complaining to me about a particular number, day, date, time etc that are bad for them due to past events. Forget the past its over, do something you have control on, fight and savor your victory. If you ask me there is no better feeling than winning a battle when the odds are against you. Be dedicated, focused, dream, be honest to yourself, love, live and see for yourself if there is a stopping force. There won't be any.

Fortune favors the brave, time and again!!

You can Succeed and LIVE only when you Conquer your fears

Felicitación España !!

'Dis is Equlibrium

Disequilibrium

I was talking to my friend, she said why does this (incident not purposefully) happen.

Anyone who knows me well will know this "Anything and everything happens for an Engineering reason/cause" so I told her this -she din't quite get me. She said just when everything looks fine, settled, stable and when we assume this state to the norm something interrupts and everything is back to being abnormal. My answer for this was "Change is the only permanent thing", this never had a impact probably because the statement was a cliche.

Now I put my thinking hat on, told her as engineers we should like being unstable. Common dude she said don't confuse this already drained brain. I said no this is true, something useful (I meant work) happens only when there arises a mismatch. For example I told - there can only be a force if there is a mismatch in acceleration. There can be a fluid flow if there is an inequity in pressure (high pressure to low pressure). Similarly for heat flow we need mismatch in temperatures. We hate Equilibrium so much as engineers, in fact, whenever the system is in harmony with its surrounding we say the system is at DEAD state, meaning its not useful anymore. Even in Life, there is excitement only when there is disequilibrium. Being stable is getting monotonous and is boring.

Everything fails- Unix systems fail, your Windows programs hang regularly, relationships break, leaves fall, sun sets etc all this creates nothing but disequilibrium in our lives, this is what makes life uncertain and exciting.

All you have to do is reboot and restart your machine next day. You know something better is about to happen.

So much for asking Wats up? phew!!!

Re..Visit

Caught in time I had infinite space on my hands!!... I felt I had just separated space and time. I could see time. An additional sense an additional dimension, curvatures, frightening , bold and changing in space -constant in time. But it soon broke at a point, is it discrete? I asked myself but what is continuous anyways if everything can be continually broken into smaller and smaller intervals. How do I analyze this pattern I thought , it then struck me I had time on my hands. Vivid it stays cemented in my head. Conceptually lost!!

Yes I'm counting days here, thats true just a couple of weeks to graduate. But screw that part!!.

How does it feel when one of your long time pending 'to do' in the 'to do list' is about to get erased. Something more than ecstatic I'm sure. Finally my prayers have been answered. Maidens biggest fan will get his sounds due LIVE on May 26th in Phoenix. We just booked tickets and I cat tell you how happy I'm right now!!

Lets end with a cliche~ UP THE IRONS

A quick quip

Stalin's ghost appears to Putin in a dream, and Putin asks for his help running the country. Stalin says, "Round up and shoot all the democrats, and then paint the inside of the Kremlin blue." "Why blue?" Putin asks. "Ha!" says Stalin. "I knew you wouldn't ask me about the first part."

In Math I Trust

......(after 1 hr of intense math) we now find that our solution is singular in x. Does this ruin everything that we've done so far?? We've come so far after setting up the problem beautifully and solving, did we screw up??...But Calculus has a mind that is too intelligent to let us down, lets try and find the drag force...(after integration of the singular solution)we find that the singularity that bothered us just seconds back has disappeared. Now your boss!! is happy, an analytical brain wins yet again!!

Useless Fact 3

The river meandering is due to secondary flows, and if I may add its due to fluid distortion caused by vortex stretching.

Proof: Look at a 'new' (relatively new river=50-60 yrs old) and compare it with a very old river (may be like 400 yrs old), you will know what I'm taking.

Uplifting Gyan

To my Dear Friend

Loss does not necessarily translate to defeat
In every defeat there is a lesson that is learnt
Its left to you, to either choose the dough nut or choose the hole
Give time a fair chance
Give yourself another chance for someone real to fill your space
Behind all this Fate plays its part
A part all too complicated, right now
But when you look back it will remind you that it was always fighting for/with you

Say this to yourself, and I'm sure you will Smile

All thats well Ends well :)

Now that you are feeling better go get a KF strong!!!!

'Useless' Fact 2

To call the fact that follows as useless, would be a crime. Never the less I just happen to have useless in the title for a reason beyond me!!!

Everyone is aware of microwaves, if you unaware of microwaves then its 'the light you see in your microoven'.

It is proved that there exists a faint background of continuous (not sure if its continuous) microwaves througout space. These waves are so weak that it would heat your pizza only to -271C, not enough to even defrost your pizza let alone cooking it.

This evidence of microwaves disproved the very fact that the UNIVERSE (reader free to assume his/her own interpretation of the word Universe) is constant in time.

A Colourless Holi :o:o!!!

Advertisements, a handful of them just play in your mind lifelong. Like the Cadbury ad, or how bout the NECC anda ad or the dood dood ad from national diary India. Some ads just beg to differ, they are a class aside, they deviate from the norm, some of the ads are not meant to win mass appeal or to sell their product they just carry a strong meaningful message. This Holi I would like to share this advertisement, it shook me up. Beautiful!!! what innovation -what a way to drive a message.

Happy Holi spare a thought for the needful!!..they need YOU.

...hence we again divide

Today I suddenly found beauty/ an unexplainable bliss in SOLITUDE. I never got an opportunity to experience solitude 'cos Ive always had Friends friends and more friends. I'm really lucky when it comes to having friends I can proudly say Ive always had some of the best friends one could ask for. But at times especially the day before exams I always landed up in movie theaters alone. Today I wanted time for myself I wanted to make an important decision -decision on my career, because of late I seem to have points all over the ball park!!!-vague-hazy-unclear-so wanted all the time by myself. So with a Bentley's double shot latte I sat analyzing in the uni park. After giving a lot of thought I decided what I wanted. I wanted a job that involved theoretical Physics (tP), or even physics at any level. So I could later -if I decide to- continue my studies either in tP or in some 'math field'.

With a little coffee still left I witnessed a horrible sight. A homeless old person was picking and clearing a dust bin a small girl came near the bin saw him and just took off. The girl was horrified and moreover disgusted she just hid behind a tree till the old man left. All this reminded me of a song I used to listen so religiously once upon a time.

Its no different whether you are in the worlds richest country or in a developing country somethings just don't change. Its a reflection of humanities worst self developed tool-DIVISION.

Useless fact #1

During my breaks from research/studies/stickcricket my brain evaluates/gathers a lot of useless facts, so I have now decided have a counter for these facts :P

FACT: The Reynolds number for a bacteria say for a typical 2micro one is 10^-6, now u can be rest assured that a bacteria will never glide like a fish. Welcome to the world of very low Reynolds number.

For the ignorant world

Glory Glory Man Utd!!!

After a disappointing derby loss recently, I never thought my team would put up such a show with arch rivals and present EPL leaders Arsenal in their last match which happened to be the round of a6s in the FA cup. The scoreline 4-0 says it all, with Rooney and Evra returning from suspensions it was looked a better team from the word go. Also with next match being away Champions league match with Lyon it made perfect sense when Alex made Hargreaves, Ronaldo and Gigs sit on the bench. The next match could be with the Blues in the Quarter Finals of the FA cup. And all I can say is BRING IT ON!!!----ONE UNITED

PS: It also gives us the edge now when we face Arsenal later during the end of the season...remember when Man Utd are in the chase to win consecutive EPLs its never over till the last day.

Feb the 23rd, 2008

No the worlds not going to end..no Armageddon...but a very important match is scheduled that day-23-02-08. Its between England and France, the English are in poor form but they have classy and seasoned players on the other hand the French have a very balanced functioning unit. Its going to be a interesting one-a nail biter. I hope its not as close as England's previous match which they won 23-18 with Italy. Dont at any cost miss this game . Its shaping up to be a very good 6-nations Rugby Tournament 2008.

A wonderful game, strong tactful game--Long Live Rugby.

note to the world :You don't know about real loss, 'cause it only occurs when you've loved something more than you love yourself. And I doubt you've ever dared to love anybody that much.-GWH

Becky's Walk into nothingNESS

Sometimes when all you want to remember is - the good things about a person....
Sometimes when all you want to remember are the good times...
Times-now- when you know that you might hurt the other person....
The best thing to do is...
Walk away far....so far that when you turn back and wait for eternity you still wont see HER
All you want is HER to be happy and keep smiling ALWAYS

You're a genius Becky. No one denies that. No one could possibly understand the depths of you

Nikis Bday gift 2008

With my Bday fast approaching I was thinking of gifting myself something that will remind me this Bday all my life. Usually I always gift my close friends something or the other but I never gift myself anything on my Bday. As a matter of fact I have bought just one jeans pant and a I guess a couple of t-shirts since my arrival to the USA. Its time that I cared more about myself :)than others has become my attitude. This egoistic approach in 2008 is scary at times. Anyways after giving it a lot of thought I have decided to gift myself this priceless book- Advanced Mathematical Models for Scientists and Engineers-Asymptotic Methods and Perturbation Theory by Bender and Orszag.
Cant wait to get my hands on it :)

Really ElectriF(L)YING

I always had my eyes on Audi's, the BMWs and of course the MERCs but all that changed when I saw this beauty. To start with -its an engineering marvel. This is what cutting edge technology really is. What I'm about to reveal is a completely 100% electric car!!..so what there are already electric cars that have done really...but my argument is is there a electric car that-
-can reach 0-60 mph in less than 4 secs
-give a 135 mpg equivalent
-drive you for just 2cents a mile..i guess the answer is no.

The TESLA Roadster is really a revelation a real STANDOUT thats wipes out its competition -oops theres no competition :).

Walk the talk

Its great to take a walk with your closest old friend. Rekindle all memories, laugh for all the stupid things you did together. And to this add a clear sky with stars everywhere, and gentle breeze- phew one word HEAVEN!!!. Also not to leave behind THE crazy, weird, unexpected confessions she is ready to make followed by big big laughter and then your confession round starts. Me being me a parallel brain was set up and I began to think deeply about WALKING!!
Common the most common physical exercise if (I can put it that way) is walking.
So I questioned myself what in an Engineering sense is walking??

Ans) Well for me its an efficient way of spending energy and getting work done, also its nothing but conservation of energy. Why does your feet/muscle (not sure what the exact name of the muscle that is involved in walking :( ) get tired after a long long walk, its because your muscle is the part that takes into account the vertical and horizontal loses int o account as you walk. The loss in PE is compensated by your muscles. Thats my understanding I might be wrong-do you have a better ans then please reply-adios!

Straight from the Gita

1)Instead of asking GOD why ME for all the troubles
YOU should ask
Why ME for the blessings
Always counts yoour blessings and not your trobles

2)Success should never come at the cost of hurting others.

3)To HURT is not an option :)

We'll wake yet another day
With hope in our hearts
Embrace this shade of Grey
This pleasant shade of Grey :)

Shock-mathematically a sudden piece of perturbation

There are great mathematicians, and there are great physicists, there was and will always be a conflict between the two. With math you can prove anything and everything but your physics should support it, only then will it make sense to the common man.
One of the worlds greatest physicists had this to say----
"I dot believe in mathematics"
and this was said by none other than Albert Einstein.
But for me mathematics is the most original and greatest creation of human spirit :)

PS: If you know your math you will know the answer to this one--->

1)What is the fourier transform of exp^(x)..simple rt
try this
2)What is the fourier transform of exp^exp(x) :)

Partial -Differential -Life :)

People who know me would have heard me say that anything and everything in life is a grand mathematical setup.
Your own personal life is a delta function a Dirac Delta function think it over, you hit a peak and all of a sudden at times you hit rock bottom.
Your life is good peaceful happy behaves as a very good continuous/differentiable -analytic function till you hit a difficulty -mathematically you now have a singularity in the area of interest(Life).....a general solution exists for all of these problems/functions----to keep smiling

Should I or Shoud She or Should WE??

Sometimes you are so confused in life, and its times like these you are influenced by other people. Especially if the other person can relate to what you are talking and if she/he quotes examples/situations which are very very similar to whats happening in your life. And all of a sudden you are drawn into what others are saying and you are now left with
a)Ignore them-say to yourself whatever it is; the case is always different irrespective as to however similar it may appear
b) HEAR - try and implement something positive
c)LISTEN-do the same thing what they did, esp if they are feeling really good after what they did.
To further narrow these choices requires time just for yourself, will power and courage. Whatever decisions you might take may be the right ones or wrong ones, but then if you made that choice never look back and never regret. As we all by now would have realized LIFE GOES ON.

WHO is=Perfect MaTcH

Well before I start this post, a small introduction about my Entropy Generation Minimization Prof Dr. Sobel- He is a Phd/Dr from from MIT..period. I dont think I need to say more.

Early-for my standards anything before noon- Monday morning after his class, I went to discuss about the paper we were planning to write on entropy analysis for my anode flow field. He, as usual gave certain guidelines and work to keep me busy for atleast a month :)...when discussing certain important issues he noticed that there was a voice message for him. He pressed the button, it was his wife; it said-'Hi honey have a question in math'..BEEP....

Seeing the curiosity on my face Dr Sobel said 'Nikesh' I know what you are thinking...its not a complicated (math) question ..trust me..' I then asked him if his wife was also from MIT, he grinned and said my wife cant add two numbers...This was something I never expected. With an astonished look on my face, I asked him if he married a 'non-engineer'.

This is what he told me ' Nikesh is there a law that says an engineer has to marry an engineer; she may not be the brightest kid , she may be 1/infinity times as good as you in Math, but her apple pies can melt even the best of brains!! she is a sweetheart..someone that many men dream of having in their lifetime'. This conversation immediately reminded me of my Dad..I always asked him 'Pa you are a Doc from one of the best Medical Schools in India what made you fall in love and eventually marry someone like Ma who has a major in Arts, and he used to say Niki its small imperfections and differences like these that make life so exciting , imagine if everything was perfect then there would be nothing to look for the next day. He always gave Ma half the credit for whatever he achieved , and he always concluded saying son trust your wife at least when it comes to Tax computations :)'

The probability of me finding my perfect match tends to zero, or even better I think I'm in a strong position to believe its zero :)..the reasons fall out as follows
->She should be a grl (this leaves me with half the humans on earth) P1
--->She should be an engineer (this leaves like what 0.000000.....1 the population of women)P2
----->At the time she should be between age 24-28 (divide the above number by 3, assuming the deaths from tom grow exponentially thanks t0 inefficient doctors :)--hi Pa)P3
------>She should appreciate fluids and heat transfer (divide the above number by an appropriate big number)P4
l..................
l............... }--Lots of other factors like Indian..short hair..blah blah.etc.
l......Pi

------->the biggest factor of course she has to be shorter than or equal to my height---->all of the above means..Pn
P(of grl becoming Nikis wife)=~O(p1*p2*p3*......*pn)

LIFE IS ALWAYS A TRADE-OFF

Hail to the UnSunG HeRoEs

As whole of India celebrates the T20 world cup win, I remain silent worried more about whats happening to our national game HOCKEY. I really think its a more demanding and tactful game than cricket; T20 at least.
Our hockey team has done really well in the past but no real appreciation has gone their way. On the other hand you have millions being offered to cricketers and homes being donated by Sahara.
Recently India won the Asian cup and half the people back home dint even know there was a hockey tournament, whats more shocking is that the team entered finals defeating tough teams such as South Korea and the sports minister who was supposed to be the chief guest for the final never even appeared..What an A!@ HOLE.
This blog is dedicated to all those Unsung Heroes who really deserved all the true Appreciation. Good job; hopefully hockey gets more recognition in the future. I'm just a student yearning to rise the awareness of hockey in India, I only wish I can do something better.

Learn To let Go :)

---Article from The Times of India
We tend to cling to every object in our lives. We hold on to our profession, relationship or possession as if our entire world depends on them. We are so busy clinging to our own lives, that we have forgotten to live with the flow. We are afraid to move ahead, afraid to let go.
Life in essence is like an unobstructed, unrestrained, uncontrolled flow of a river. Life flows at its own pace and the ultimate source of all our pain and sufferings is our tendency to cling to and obstruct the flow.
Professional life stagnates, relationships are broken, possessions are lost; all because we refused to let go when we were actually required to let things take their own course.
Why do we cling? We cling because change scares us; we
cling because we are afraid to face the unknown, to face challenges; we cling because we feel secure if the status quo is maintained; we cling because we refuse to believe that life can never be static; because we refuse to accept the transience of everything; we believe that everything is in our hands. We do not have enough faith in life and that higher force which is omnipotent and omnipresent. In the chaos of existence, we have lost touch with our higher self. Most of us lead a life which is similar to that of a child who is lost in a crowd, separated from his guardians. He has nobody to place his faith on. He is afraid, insecure, suspicious about everyone and everything.
We live under the false illusion of having everything under our control. The spirit of getting things done becomes a
problem when we continue to cling on even after we have exhorted all our efforts. We are overwhelmed by a sense of despair and disillusion when things move beyond our control. It is at this stage we need to learn to let go. Several times relationships are broken just because we tried too hard to make them work. We didn’t give the breathing space they required to grow. We didn’t let go and let them take their own course.
Professionally or personally, once all the efforts are made towards achieving a goal, we must learn to let go and let life
take the best course. It might or might not be of one’s choice, but if we have faith, we will realise that it inevitably is the best course. We need to believe that forces above us are far better equipped to make judgments for us. We must learn to have faith in their judgment. Letting go, however, does not mean turning into a fatalist. One cannot sit idle in life and expect life to take care of itself. Karma, the fulfilment of one’s duties is the ultimate objective of all human existence and if we fail to fulfil our duties towards life, life inevitably fails us.
When God gives us dreams, He shares them with us. Whatever we consider our dreams, are actually His dreams and He gives us the capability to realise them. The part we are required to play is to ensure the optimum usage of the capabilities bestowed upon us. And once we have played our part with utmost honesty and effort, we need to let go, step aside and let God step in to fulfil our dreams. After all, they are His dreams, too.

Poetic Murder

The Gibbs equations are of prime importance when it comes to problem solving in any thermal oriented subject. The two equations are 'similar' and give the same information.
GIBBS1: dh=Tds-vdp
GIBBS 2:du=Tds-pdv
But the conditions to apply GIBBS1 and GIBBS2 are different. I always get confused as to which equation is to be applied...so I decided to make a this poem ---

Without Me

When sometimes....
The Sky fails to shine..
No moon...Stars missing....
When you are all alone....
When you get scared...
All you have to do is turn back...
And I'll be there filling the empty space :)

When sometimes....
The sky fails to bring sunshine...
No sun...Clouds Filling...
When you get all wet...
When you get scared...
All you have to do is look up...
And I'll be there in every drop...

When sometimes.....
This life fails to make you Smile...
No Happiness...Punishing..
When you get no love..
When you feel all all alone....
All you have to do is...
Think of the first time you had my shoulders....
And I'll be there to support you ALWAYS....

Sometimes...
When I miss you...
When I feel the pain...
All I do is hide it within me...
See you smile

Sometimes...
All you have to know is
WE was is and will always be the better part of ME :)
